THE FOOD PROJECT
In October 2015 I traveled to Syria to carry out my first food project where I bougt and handed out 2091 kg food to 123 families in Set Zaynab.
These families were approached by a local aid organization that also helped me with the transportation of the boxes and the gathering of the families. Set Zaynab is a town right outside of Damascus and has been deeply affected by the war. Many young men have died due to Daesh's (ISIS) occupation only 5 km from the area. Daesh's attempts to occupy Set Zaynab caused the death of sons, husbands and brothers, leaving elder and women to struggle for an income.
More information about the project can be found in the articles released in the nationwide Swedish newspaper Expressen.
